About

Competitive rowing for athletes interested in maintaining a high level of fitness and developing both sweep and sculling skills for competition. Athletes must be willing and available to engage in training program to meet these goals. Fitness, technical skills, attendance, effort and work ethic, and competitive goals will be considered by the coaches when boating for practice and competition. Although participation in regattas is not required, workouts are geared toward competing in at least major regatta and several smaller regional regatta per season (e.g. US Rowing Club National Championships, USRowing Masters National Championships, Diamond States Masters Regatta, Head of the Charles, Head of the Charles).

Prerequisites

Demonstrated skill in sweep and/or sculling, appropriate physical fitness, or approval of the coaches.
Regular participation in scheduled practices, on land or water, is strongly encouraged and expected. While work and family obligations sometimes take priority, every effort should be made to maximize participation.
